PhillyFlyers 2012-2013 Italian Serie A Calcio Plays
PhillyFlyers 2012-2013 Italian Serie A Calcio Plays
I love the Serie A more than any other football league in the world. In this thread I will be sharing what I think are the best plays for the 2012-13 Serie A season. I will provide picks along with detailed analysis of the picks.
Stay tuned.

*TOP PICK* 01/06/13 ITALIAN SERIE A
FIORENTINA
ANALYSIS
Fiorentina are on a 3 game winning streak and will certainly be looking to keep that form coming out of the Christmas break. On top of that, their star player, Stevan Jovetic, appears to be back on form a year after suffering a horrific cruciate knee ligament injury.
On the other side we have poor, pitiful Pescara who have just 2 wins in their last 6 matches. On top of that, Pescara is one of worst away teams in the Serie A and unfortunately for them, this visit to Florence will be no different.
*ADDED VALUE PLAY*
CHIEVO VERONA
ANALYSIS
I like Chievo here as a good value play. Although they are a small team, they always fight and give great effort no matter the odds. Here they will be playing at home against an Atalanta team that has just 2 wins in their last 6 matches. This is an attractive play and I'll take Chievo here.
Good Luck Everyone!

You're starting off the thread with a -330 "top pick"? Or are you suggesting the spread?

I started the thread off with the best, safest play to win. I realize there isn't much value to it unless you bet heavy which is why I added the Chievo "value" play.
Good luck.

-400 but it's very likely to win and that's what matters. I already explained that I added the value play for those looking for odds.

Of course it's very likely to win, that's why it's -400. You'll have to hit 80% of your bets to strike even if you were to continue with these kinds of plays. Books love this stuff.

You guys need to relax. There's nothing wrong in picking favorites. There are players who pick only favorites, even heavy ones, and they make money in the long run because they don't just blindly bet the favorites "that are supposed to win". They don't get greedy. They pick their spots and they walk away.
Then there are people who bet every day like a degenerate and end up losing money in the long run.
Who's to say it's better to pick dogs and have 85% ROI rather then picking favorites and 130% ROI after the same amount of picks?
I'm not saying it's wrong to do it either way, but let everyone play their way.

Unreal. Lots of upsets in the Serie A today as lowly Pescara lays a thumping on Fiorentina, Udinese smacks Inter, and Sampdoria decisions Juventus.
On the plus side, the added value play of Chievo did come through.
Season Record: 1-1

My friendly advice to you...
Stay away from Italian soccer. It is a crooked league..
Stick with England or Spain
How many thousand people found This game and Juventus game a LOCK!!!!
Someone is holding all that money and laughing at all of you..
I understand when you loose it fair and square, but to steal our hard earned money by fixing games???
NAH!!!

lol Lets not get silly now! Saying the Italian league is crooked but stick with Spain! Spain is just as corrupt as Italy, if not worse as you have two powerhouses running everything. I suggest some of you read the book "Morbo" and do some research. Im sure thousands found the Juve game to be a "lock" but this isnt a simulator, this isnt FIFA Football or Football Manager! These players are human and sometimes get complacent or just dont turn up! Thousands thought Chelsea was a lock against QPR the other week yet went and loss 1-0. I didnt hear anybody saying tht was a fix. Queen of the South were 1-0 down on Saturday with ten men and came back to win 5-1....nobody is saying tht was fixed. Shiit happens and sometimes it' just the way it is!

Chelsea loss due to a 2nd string lineup Benitez put on the field..
No Oscar, No Mata, No Hazard
I'm not saying La Liga or Premier League are as straight as an arrow, but outrageous outcomes always seem to happen
in Italian A-League and a lot more often...
I have been playing all 4 major leagues every week for 3 years now and this is my opinion...
I have to protect my investment..you can do what ever you please with yours.
This is simply a matter of opinion, All i am trying to do is save people...Pain and disappointment of loosing money. Whether they take my advice or not is totally up to them...

Oscar started that game dude, and Mata and Hazard came on. Juve had no Chiellini, no Lichsteiner, no Vidal, and no Vucinic. Not saying there aren't fixed games in Italy, but people on here think every time a big favourite loses it has to be a fix!

This advice is simply incorrect.
It must be: stay away from Italian soccer if you don't know it.
Italian football (down to LP1) is one of the most profitable sports market if you are enough deep into it.
You don't need to have fixing info to make a profit, you just have to understand the signs.

football in general is unpredictable and or crooked, just stick with what you know or go with a sport like nba, at least theres no draws there.
