Whaddup my Ninjas. Lots of Cup play today in Europe, but those can be hard to predict. Careful with those if you play. More to come later. This one starts @ 8:30am ET.

[Russia FNL] Ural-Metallurg Novokuzetsk Under 2.5 [+105]
Rolling with the under in this one. Metallurg has played 14 of their 17 matches in the league so far to two goals or less. They aren't winning much, but their defense appears pretty resolute. On the road, they have played six straight 1-0 losses after an opening 2-0 loss. Ural has kept five clean sheets in eight home matches, so you'd expect against a team with just nine goals this season to have issues getting on the board today. Ural has played four of their home matches to three goals or more, all due to their own offense. The first meeting between the two ended 0-0 @ Metallurg in July. Risking 0.5 unit on this one since it is Russia and a lower league where who knows what happens behind the scenes.

[England Capital One Cup] Reading-Arsenal Both Teams to Score [-150]
Pointed out on the weekend with a bet on Reading-Fulham BTTS about Reading's record regarding scoring & conceding @ home. Six matches, including Cup play have all seen that this season. Arsenal have been a bit dry scoring in the EPL/Champions League of late, but Cup play should give them a chance to get some goals with younger players set to deputize on both sides. Couple that with Reading failing to keep a single clean sheet in ten competitive matches since the EPL began and there should be a good shot for both squads to find the back of the net. Both Reading's cup matches were goal heavy with 3-2 scoreline in favor of Reading, while Arsenal throttled Coventry City 6-1 in their lone Cup tie.

[England Capital One Cup] Swindon Town-Aston Villa Over 2.5 [-115]
This is a cheeky little price on the over as the books seem to favor most of the other Cup ties for more of a shot at goals that this one. While Villa has not been stout scoring in the EPL, it has not hindered them from finding the back of the net in this competition when squads are rotated. They scored five goals in their first two matches, including two last time against Manchester City. Swindon Town already KO'ed one EPL side, beating Stoke City 4-3 in extra time after ended 2-2 at the end of regulation. They followed that up with a 3-1 win over Championship side Burnley, showing they do have quality in attack and take this competition seriously. Both should be good to see them have chances today.

Cup matches are tough business some times to bet on which teams are going to give two shits and score, etc. England is really the only ones I can entertain. Germany, Holland and some of the others the results are very hard to predict. Probably also helps that there is more info for English matches in general.

[Copa Del Rey] Alaves-Barcelona Over 3.5 [-135]
It looks like Vilanova is following Pep Guardiola's lead somewhat in making this competition somewhat of a priority. He's not fielding a full strength side, but he's got Villa & Sanchez to attack and Fabregas, Mascherano and Iniesta all playing in the midfield. It's an embarrassment of riches obviously to have this depth. Not totally comfortable in their 1st Cup tie to take Barca as a side, especially with some of their recent defensive woes. Alaves is the top dog in Segunda B, so they have some talent and will of course relish a chance to play the La Liga leaders. Not sure they add to the tally, but given it is a Cup tie and Barca's defense has shown a little frailty now & again - perhaps they can help. If not, Barca certainly is capable of banging home four or more if they push hard. Being a Cup tie, you may want to keep your stakes modest since anything can happen.
