Chalky, but lovely nonetheless in my estimation. Brazil have been in scintillating goal scoring form with 20 goals in their last five friendlies. The opposition is a big step up today with a Japanese side that scored a 1-0 win over France last week. The Japanese have not conceded in three straight, but Brazil presents a much taller task than France, UAE or Iraq. Brazil should have a mostly unchanged side except for a defensive injury from their last match. Japan should also have a similar side to the one that defeated France.Just half stakes on this one for me because it is still a friendly & anything can happen. If you have Bovada, the bet live option is available for this one too - making Both Teams to Score a good option too depending on the price.

Croatia-Wales Over 2.5 [-125]
Gareth Bale rescued Wales from defeat with a pair of late goals against Scotland to rally the Welsh to a 2-1 win last time out. The Croats have scored at least once in all three of their group matches and should be licking their chops to get at this Welsh D that has conceded nine times in three matches [six against Serbia]. Jelavic & Mandzukic should provide the home side with opportunity up front with Modric facilitating, while Bale has shown he is an anytime threat.

Italy-Denmark Both Teams to Score +120
No Buffoon in goal for Italy, so I expect that Denmark should have some better chances against De Sanctis, the Napoli goal keeper who is likely to fil in. Italy was already having issues keeping clean sheets with goals allowed in two of three group stage matches. Denmark tallied a goal last time after playing to a scoreless draw in their opener with the Czech Republic. Out of nine matches played in 2012, that was just the 2nd time the Danes failed to score.

Just starting to look at the CONCACAF/South American matches for this afternoon/evening. Only thing that would scare me some on that is the US plays much better on home soil vs. road. Definitely worth a look though, will probably be adding a play or two here soon.

They have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their three road matches, while scoring in two of those. Venezuela has been stingy at home with two clean sheets, but have allowed goals in two of their last three qualifiers, The first meeting between these two went 2-0 to Ecuador way back in October 2011 on their home pitch.

Guatemala +1.5 [-130]
Taking the shot here. Much talked about how a draw is beneficial to both sides. While Team USA isn't likely to be too cautious - at least early on - Guatemala may be set to park it defensively and ward off any USA advances. Both sides will be assuming Jamaica will win over Atigua & Barbuda which could set the stage for a tie with the potential loser of this match. I get the feeling that if a goal isn't found fairly early in this one, caution is likely from both as the match grows on. On home soil, Team USA is still tough to beat - but even if they sneak out a win, I think it is a close one. The US has only won one match in this group by more than single goal. Guatemala have just one loss and it was by a single goal @ Jamaica, but they needed a late, late goal to say that.

Chile-Argentina Both Teams to Score [-150]
Chile is floundering in this group, teetering between the final qualifying spot and a playoff spot for a spot in the WC 2014. Their form has been woeful of late, giving up six goals in their last two qualis - but they did manage a goal in each. Argentina meanwhile continue to mow through with wins in two of their last three. This squad has not been shut out since a shock loss to Venezuela in the 2nd match back in October 2011. Since then, they have won four and scored two draws and hit the score sheet each time. They still do not have a clean sheet on the road in this group. While Chile may well lose again, they have scored at home in all three qualis in this group and I think possess enough quality to snatch a goal. Full expect Argentina to find the back of the net, so the pressure is on Chile to get this done.
