That sounds like a cool feature, but it's unfortunately not something currently offered. I'm going to move this thread though to the Site Suggestions forum (from Industry).

We use to be able to select certain members and have them added to a buddy/friends list. That went away a few upgrades ago. Would be cool to bring back.

Has there been any update on this? Receiving email alerts when particular members post would be a very useful feature. I like to subscribe to new threads and receive instant email alerts to new post on my phone, but recently removed most of my alerts because I had to weed through too many irrelevant posts.
