No, I'm being honest here. Not clowning around like I know I do a lot on these forums. This is on Indeed.com. Most jobs ask you those questions. It does say at the top that you DO NOT have to disclose this information. You can also choose not to identify yourself, etc. But, yes, nearly every job I applied for on there does this. It could be a reverse trap too. If you put down you're white, or identify your race outright, then they figure you are "race conscious" or you are not "color blind" so they auto exclude you. I don't freaking know.

It's just like the assessments. They have all these retarded assessment questions that are poorly written in the first place. They make you take it. It's supposed to assess what you would do in this situation or that situation. I'm no human resources psychologist, but all these assessments do is box people into categories. I'm 100% confident its the wrong way to screen people for how well they will do for a company.

I think the way they hire today flushes out really good candidates and makes the whole process frustrating. Personality tests, assessment tests, 5 interviews, phone interview, this step, that step. In a way, it's almost like water-boarding. Once you get through all their bullsh*t, you won't dare want to go through all that again so you will be hesitant to ever leave. It makes it more difficult to job-hop. I.E. Gosh, look at all this stuff I had to do to get in.....I don't want to go through that again over and over again."
