I suppose I have some catching up to do in this thread and summaries too. It's been a busy week.
Actually, how about this.
I made 36 NCAAF plays last week, let's just call it 34-1-1, just in case I did miss a play or got a push.
From here on out I'll be hitting all the MLB plays so that takes care of that tracking.

Lines coming out for next week, I try to wait until they are more available, and in doing so the lines are already moving at BOL.
It gets tougher each week as the money catches on and starts hitting the market.

I might have caused the line shift in both of those plays above with my bets.
Like I've said in the past, I'm fine with sharing my plays, as long as I get my numbers first.
Let's see what happens with these plays as other money comes in today and this week.
I am missing some of my rotation again, so I am losing value on plays, I'm sure.

Notice I usually say it's a crude closing line comparison because I'm not counting, for spreads, key numbers that get crossed.
Same with moneylines, but I'm not going there, yet...lol.
SPREAD BETS...
I used to use Vegas Insider consensus for all spread bets and always checked with the rest of the market to make sure it agreed, they were always consistent and didn't play price games around 1/2 point, like Pinny.
I don't get into pricing and keep it crude because I don't want to share my exact value for numbers.
But when sportsbetting became legal in Jersey and Jersey cracked down on unregulated markets, the VI consensus lost all of the online numbers.
So now for spreads I look for agreement between the rest of the market, the VI consensus and Pinny. Basically we're going with Pinny unless they close with an extreme price but off a 1/2 point from the rest of the market that doesn't copy Pinny.
Sometimes Pinny doesn't provide a most recent update on the feed, so you have to watch for that. In that case I look for agreement in the market, not an average, because it's crude line, but a main agreement between the VI consensus, books like Book Maker, and other big ones.
When I just can't find agreement, usually because of reporting issues, or something like that, I may resort to the book that the line originally came from, just comparing to that market itself. I don't think I've had to resort to that comparison yet though.
One thing about using the VI consensus. I notices in NCAA Hoops that using that spread was stacking the cards in my favor as I almost always beat that line in the discount markets. Remember when I was something like 40-2 vs the close in one of the Hoops Funds last year? I think that's what was happening there.
MONEYLINES...
Moneylines are a little more simple and far less crude. I use Pinny and look for general agreement across the market to make sure. Using Vegas just isn't fair because they are always poorly priced compared to the reduced online.
When there are reporting errors and Pinny is off I go through the same progression but don't think I've gone as far as just using the specific book from which the line came.
So basically Pinny, vegas, and the rest of the high volume world is used but I think nearly all lines will pass any scrutiny. Nearly everyone agrees, for argument sake, on Pinny. Sometimes it's not right, but everyone still agrees that it is anyway...lol.
I work hard and make passing scrutiny my goal when posting the comparisons. Notice I focus those closing line comparison posts on a moneyline basket, the UPSET Basket; that's because the comparisons are just more true than the spreads.
