Anyway, I contacted the local PD.

They said that while technically it's not against the law that if someone complains then there's some sort of disturbing the peace by creating some kind of unsafe and potentially threatening environment...blah blah blah blah.

Long story short he suggested, in order to keep the community feeling safe, that I pick up the home kit...
