Dems are trying to get ahead of the dbl IG reports. Even the NY Times has an article on the illegal spying on Trump. Front page no less. This distraction will be swept away with real Watergate hearings in a couple of months.

I was a consistent 1500-1550 guy but didn't play for 15-20 years and have just been back at it sparsely for a couple of years. I would guess I'm a legit 1400+ guy. Need to practice. Not seeing the board the way I need to.

I did play last week against my 1900 relative and split 2 games.

I appreciate your honesty. I played in a few live tournaments when I was in my early 20's. I never had an official rating because I didn't have enough games. But I believe my provisional rating was around 1900. I thought I was pretty good at the time but the REALLY good players would stomp me. I remember one tournament specifically where I won my first 3 games and then I ended up playing the current high school state champion. He was rated in the 2400's. He beat me pretty easily and he was easily the best player I had ever played. I haven't played much in the last 15 years or so... only a few games. My game of choice these days is Othello/Hexversi and all it's variations.

Ratings can be a funny thing. If you play online you find out those eastern euro guys are like playing Chessmaster3000(and occasionally you are). I did some online tourneys but never liked fighting the clock. You could be up a rook and 3 pawns and eventually lose on the hour limit.

1900 is pretty lofty. I'll need a good line if we play.
