I swear, the dumber the call the higher the odds of sucking out at SBR shit hole poker.

It doesn't matter how tight you play all night, apparently it doesn't even come into play with he other players decision. I have pocket 77, guy calls with AJ, flop 724, turn 5 river 3...

    FUK You SBR shit poker...

Were you all in pre flop? If so then you lost a coin flip, happens often.

Otherwise you were either checking post flop, or not betting enough to prevent opponent from chasing & making his hand. If this is the case, then you played the hand poorly.

According to your balance, looks like you're having a real hard time rolling over poker cashes. Perhaps you should try the intelligent way of completing rolls, via flipping.

For those who decide not to play every daily tourney, exactly how does that take away the accomplishments from those who do? If everyone played every daily, are you suggesting this annual leaderboard would be totally different?

It would be nice to see one L.B. including the cash games, and all tournaments including the high rollers and finals like the one Ron Paul just won. I see many tournament finalist leaving all those earned points later on the cash games to specialists like bite, austin, rudy, bigorange etc.etc.
The L.B. only shows the daily, and leaves a great deal of names out.

Rudy and I have disagreed in the past, but his point is solid here. To make that leaderboard, some combination of playing frequently and well is needed. The people on it currently demonstrates that some amount of skill is required, but that the current structure emphasizes participation strongly, and playing every day is more important than playing well.

Under a normal payout structure, the leaderboard would be a bit more balanced...but as it is, it's a highly visible symptom of the participation award payouts. I probably shouldn't say symptom, as only a few of us consider it a problem

That would certainly be nice! Don't now how difficult it would be to implement, but might drive some more cash game activity.

So JakePeavy only manages to be near the top of the rankings every year because he plays more than everyone else? Or is it that the software is rigged for him?

I really dont think the same core group of people we see in the top 15 year to year are the only people that play most days. I'd guess that there is easily more than 100 that attempt to play every week day.

And honestly. Do you really think if there was some intelligent algorithms in the software to cheat players that SBR would risk their reputation by offering the stuff up for public sale?

Anyway, would be nice if a few more of you spoke some sense and occasionally said something positive rather than encouraging the rigtards.

Nah, jake is where he is because he plays most every day AND is a great player. Most of the other people on that list are good players as well, but there are better ones who don't play every day. As I said, a regular leaderboard rewards skill and frequency (although skill tends to have an edge), whereas SBR poker structure disproportionately rewards frequency, to the point where a mediocre player can often make the bottom of the leaderboard just by showing up every day and playing what would be losing poker anywhere else.

The payout structure is popular and isn't gonna change, which is OK...but it would be nice to see leaderboards that corresponded to skill a bit more, like points per tourney averages, as well as ring game leaders. Don't know if software can handle, but it would be pretty cool. Nothing I'm terribly passionate about at the moment, don't really think I need a leaderboard to know who the better poker players are around here anyways!

As I said, I don't agree with rudy on everything...I don't agree with anyone about anything being rigged without evidence, and i agree that rigging software in general is a poor decision. Just pointing out he has a point....I do the same on the rare occasions bobbo is right too

seems like the average player on here is getting worse

the last couple of weeks my head has been spinning from some of the calls and plays posters are making

I do better against thinking players with a clue rather than the bingo players, so I can relate with the frustration in this thread

That said, the reason I continue to play here is because I ENJOY it..there are a lot of really good folks in the poker community here and quite a few that I consider friends off of the forum.

Instead of being an alcoholic causing you to not think clearly, I'm sure you can find an hour to play the poker dailies instead.

Care to wager your measly 212 pts on a 2017 annual poker wager?

    I didn't think so.

Thanks bud! Easy to be ego free for me, not a very good player! :-) Plus, I am lazy, having an over-abundant ego is too much effort.
