so if he KNOWS there's an alarm i'd say he didnt' tell them to steal it and if your 90% sure he's a friend of the employee maybe pretend like your 100% sure he's a friend. Tell him his friend got busted for trying to steal the pipe. maybe just tell him you don't think he had anything to do with it because of the alarm, but you would appreciate it if he didn't mention things like $3000 worth of pipe laying around.

Well he called me.Just got off the phone with him. He heard about it from one of his other friends. He swore up and down he had nothing to do with it. Im pretty sure i believe him. He said he hasnt talked to the guy tony in weeks. I told him i believe him. He worked for my fathers since he was 18 and me since i took over 5 yrs ago. so about 15 yrs now. Never a problem, great worker, helped me out last year when we had a problem with parts missing out of the shop. And kept an eye out for me and actually caught one of the kids i hired. I really dont think he had anything to do with it. But there will always be in the back of my mind now. So im gonna have to keep an eye on him i guess.
