I predict: The winner of Ohio St vs TEXAS will win the championship
Texas's defense will simply be lethal this year.

Ohio St. will be clicking on offense from day 0ne.

Both teams lose key componets from last years squad namely QB Young for Texas and the linebacker squad for OSU. However, both teams will be favored in every game they face including the NCAA Championship game.

It is even possible, a bit of a stretch, but possible they will meet again in the last game of the year.

The game in Austin is only 10 weeks away and I would make that game Texas -1 or even a Pick'em. Should be a great game by the two best teams in the country.

Its not to big a strech SBRJohn for Texas and
Ohio st to meet in the BCS bowl. If there game
in Austin is close in the score and thats the only
time they loss all season then they could be #1
and #2 at the end of the season. The
Longhorns get there first 7 games in Austin,
Houston, oir Dallas for the OU game. But that
one against Nebraska there is going to be a hard
one may be. I think Texas and Nerbaska might
play 2 times this season one time in regular
season and may be again for Big 12 champinship.
It will be funny if they play Nebraska 2 times and
    Ohio st 2 times.

It's still a little early for me to start capping my football for ths year, but heres goes.

Oklahoma will challenge both of those teams you mentioned.

Oklahoma has a pertty much of a cup cake schedule this year.

Texas is probly there toughest game this year. they also play oregon this year, but it's really early in the season so they can recover from that game if they lose it.

they also have 9 starters returning on defense, and will be more experineced.

Adrian Peterson is back again this year, and stoops knows how to win the big games.

Bomar has another year of experience under his belt, which only helps this team even more.

they have had another great recruiting class again this year.

Texas will beat Okalhoma this year I think. OU has
a easy schedule but there going to have to play
the Aggies at College Station and the dam Aggies
all ways play OU hard at there own field. I hate it
when all the OU fans come to Dallas for the
weekend and fvck things up. Texas will beat them
        again this year.

I would only ammend this statement to say whoever wins this game has a very good chance at playing in the BCS championship game...my lean is to Ohio St. in this one (not spread wise, just to win straight up-although I probably won't even bet on this one, will just watch it)...

I hope Curse Fire is right about my Aggies playing the Sooners tough at Kyle Field this year. I haven't been too impressed with Coach Fran since he arrived at A&M. It's time for him to step up and earn his pay by beating a top 20 team or three.

Texas will not win a MNC with Colt McCoy or Jevan Snead(who is a white guy) at QB...simple as that.

The closed practices are not giving us a good read on the qb spot. Also, wr is a question mark. Two areas that are not question marks are the O line and a powerful running game and the defense.

Ohio St has to prove they can stop the run after losing the heart of their defense.

Either way, in my pre season opinion, these teams are the best and would be favored over anyone else.

Anyone have an opinion as to what the line will be with UT vs OSU? Is my Tex -1 in the ball park?

Hey Ag, what the hell do the color of Jevan
Sneeds skin got to do with anything and what
the fvck is a MNC? The Mccoy kid has got a
good head on his shoulders and the only reasons
every one is all ready counting him out is they
aint got no idea about him at all so its just easy
for every one to say he aint no good. Sbr John
is right on about the Longhorns cause they got
a great O line and running game and the
defense is going to stuff alot of teams.

If you dont know what MNC stands for already then I am certainly not going to tell you.
As far as what color Jevan is..well it doesnt matter so much. I just plugged that in there cause I lost a bet with a friend that a boy with that name wasnt black. If you want to put you hopes in Colt Mccoy from Jim Ned high school of a 2A calssification then go ahead buddy.

Curse Fire, I believe MNC stands for 'mythical national championship,' a relatively new buzz word conjured up by someone in the media who feels that a bloated playoff system is what NCAA football needs to be perfect but fails to understand that a playoff system won't ever be close to perfect without a major overhaul to the way schedules are drawn up.

which of our college have the better QB.

No question about it that Stephen McGee is a better QB option then Mccoy or Snead right now. Thats not saying a lot as they are all unkowns with little or no playing time. However Mcgee is the clear cut choice if you have to pick between the three. There is where the talent advantage for A&M basicaly ends. Texas is stacked with the amount of talent that you would figure a great recruiter(Mack) at a hip place to live(austin)with recent success(MNC)would have.Oh and they also have more money then anyone. Only Ohio State comes close to them in terms of an athletic bugdet.

Notice I never said anything about A&M being a better team. I just said that as perfect as you have to be to win it all you cant have an untested QB like that. By untested I mean one was at Stephenville hish school at this time last year and the other is a back up plan from a small west texas town. Ryan Perilou was the real option at QB on Mcoys recruting year but chose for some odd reason to go to LSU.

The way I see it is texas have been stacked with talent for years and only won it last year. Thats not saying anything bad about them for it speaks more to the point of how hard it is to have a perfect season. They had the closet thing we have seen in a while to jesus christ playing QB last year and they were one lendale white yard away from not winning it. But Ill give you some good odds if you want to bet me on it.

Ag your right about Brown cause hes a good
recruiter but not all ways a good coach. He got
the best recruit s for alot of years and still didnt
have no game plan some times. He didnt even
have any plan last year for the Aggies when he
knew Mcneal wasnt going to be probaly playing.
I still think Mccoy or may be Snead will be pretty
good by the end of the year when the Horns and
Aggies play. Im not even a Texas fan that much
I barely made it thru 2 years at comunity college.
lol But may be Ill take your bet once I see how
there doing later on this year.

I know most UT fans think they can win most the big games this year but losing Vince is gonna relly show starting with OSU. Its easier said than done to plug in a QB who has never played a meaningful snap and to expect similar results. All of UT's qb's have not had any meaningful experience at the position. You guys think that OSU or even OU will stand stand by and wait to see what the qb has or will they just stick it to them. IF UT CAN BEAT BOTH OSU AND OU THAN I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE BROWNS BEST COACHING JOB.

PS - I am not picking OU to win it all right now at all. They have 4 what ifs.
                                  1. Oregon - at Eugene will be tough
                                  2. UT - Rivalry games too close to call. Stoops owns series so lets see how he can bounce back from last years poor game.
                                  3. A&M - College Station no joke. Asking Heupel and White about their close calls on route to title game appearances.
                                  4. Colorado - No one remembers that their new coach is Hawkins from Boise and everyone knows CU can always recruit. Now with Hawkins as coach he gonna open up the offense in Boulder.

By all accounts Colt has not had the spring folks were hoping for. Vince had a great team behind him as a soph and couldnt get past OU. If he had a little better game in that one they would have won another title.

I agree with Ag on the Texas qb spot.

Texas's entire season will unfold in the second week of September. Is the defense good enough to shut down the best QB in nation? I think it is.

Last year the Tex defense played what you might call a prevent defense after getting huge leads early in almost every game. And they were a little young. This year? forget about it... spring was a preview, this defense is as good as any.

So my homer prediction is Texas 20 Ohio St 19.
Getting OSU early may be tough on the Tex offense but I would look for Tex's defense to come up with several turnovers and generally frustrate OSU's otherwise high powered offense.
