I'm not remotely unhappy today. Its all good. I said yesterday it was only tough right after I dropped her off. She had a great day. We couldn't be happier with the way everything went.

Took my daughter to her first day of kindergarten today. Here in Texas its a full day, 8-3:30, 5 days a week. Not gonna lie, it was one of the toughest moments I've had. Funny thing is, it's not her that it was so hard on....it was me and her mom. She was pretty excited about the whole deal. Hanging out with kids her age, playing on the playground, getting to be a jr. cheerleader. I, on the other hand, was a wreck. Barely made it outside before I cried like a bitch.

Maybe some others on here know what I'm talking about. Hopefully you young guys will get to experience it one day. If you do, just remember to enjoy every minute to the fullest. I know its cliche', but you won't believe how quickly it passes.

At that age it was rounding the corner out of sight on a bicycle for me. Be forewarned ... wait for the automobile.

88.........I feel you pal. Albeit a bit different for me as my two are both boys........6 and 8. My youngest starts 1st grade next week. Considering our Kindergarten was only half days........this will be the real deal for him. He'll be fine.......I'll be proud........my wife.....aka his "mommy" will be in tears as we walk away as she's been lucky enough to be home with him since day one.

My boys are my life (sure, and my wife, but it's just different). I work/plan/live every day to insure they will have a strong/stable foundation and the necessary tools to make something of themselves.

thanks its gonna be a ride regardless i was always involved in my childrens lives but this whole full time dad thing was a real awakening for me. being a single man and raising my daughter for the most part by myself has been a challenge for the past 8 months we have been living together but we manage to make it work good, bad, and ugly but i wouldnt change it for anything.
