UP until a few months ago or late 2025 Nicky aka BEANTOWNJUM would post there a lot, there are still people posting there but not as active as it was. It has some good threads. I am not sure if something happened to Nicky or not, hope he is ok. He was very active there for all these years. I have an account there but haven't posted in a long time.

I didn't think I could either. A few months ago the interface changed and it asked me for my log in etc etc. I forgot it but kept trying and I finally figured it out. I just looked today, there are posts daily still.

I was late to that party.
Before that, I was an administrator at the old baseball.com
Joe K. ran that ship, soup to nuts, webmaster, everything.
Joe sold the domain name for beaucoup money and accepted the job as webmaster for the Arena Football League.
Me?
I just wanted to continue writing baseball.
Somebody told me to check out SBR, which was sixteen years ago.
I joined SBR in 2011, when Players Talk was the equivalent of the Wild Wild West.
As the late, great Paul Harvey used to say, while signing off of his radio cast.
"And now, you know the rest of the story
My God, I just realized I'm older than dirt,

I was gijoe at the RX. Won 2 football contest for over 6000. Then hit for 20,000 in a baseball contest where I picked 10 baseball games and i hit 10 out of 10 games. i had 9 out of 9 and needed under in the Phil/SD GAME AND LISTEN TO THE GAME WHILE PACING IN MY BEDROOM. But I had to go to Vegas and play one hand of blackjack for 10,000 and I beat the dealer to win 20,000, Every time i go to Vegas, I have to pass the high roller room where i played the one hand of blackjack for 10,000 at the golden nugget. TOOK ABOUT 6 FRIENDS WITH ME AND REMEMBER SITTING IN THE SPORTSBOOK AND GUY CAME UP TO ME AND SAID FOLLOW ME. GUY SITTING AT THE BAR GAVE ME 10,000 AND SAID GOOD LUCK

That’s honestly one of the wildest runs I’ve heard. Going 10 out of 10 in a baseball contest is already crazy, then heading to Vegas and doubling 10k in one hand is just another level. Must’ve been an unreal adrenaline rush the whole time.

I remember being at the Imperial Palace that day. I wasn't in the High Roller room when you won, but I was on the floor of the casino when the entire place chanted in unison, "GI Joe! GI Joe! GI Joe! GI Joe!" Great time.
Oh yeah, I also remember your lovely wife. Very nice and attractive lady. You did well there.

I just checked my online diary. The Imperial Palace Bash for theRX was the weekend of August 18, 2006, almost 20 years ago!

I think that dinner is when we all did the "GI Joe, GI Joe" chant again.

Yes, but wants his worth. He knows he brings value and wants to maximize his earnings.
