    BetCris Weekly Review June 19th
Geoff Ogilvy was a popular pick to win the US Open golf this week and he outlasted Phil Mickelson on the final hole to win by 1 shot. We took several $1000 wagers on Geoff Ogilvy at the start of the tournament at the odds of 80/1 and after every round at odds of 25/1, 6/1 and 5/1. Most of our regular everyday players seemed to like Ogilvy and also had some luck with the match-ups this week. Needless to say, this golf tournament went the way of our customers.

The Soccer World Cup is in full swing with 3 games every day. Action has been terrific and the best results so far for us were the 1-1 draw between Italy and USA, the 0-0 draw of Mexico and Angola, but the best result was Ghana’s 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic. The best result for our customers was Argentina winning easily 6-0 against Serbia and Montenegro. Argentina look like the team that could take the title away from Brazil, but although Brazil has yet to lose a match, it looks like they haven’t hit top gear just yet.

Tonight is the final game of the NHL Stanley Cup finals series. Edmonton has achieved the almost impossible feat of equaling the series at 3-3 after trailing 3-1. So far the betting is indicating that Edmonton’s come from behind victories will continue and they will be the Stanley Cup Champions.

Baseball betting is wide open this year, especially with injuries hitting the highly fancied Yankees. The Yankees still top the betting at +550, with Mets +625, St Louis +635, White Sox +700, Detroit +750 and Boston +875 close behind in the betting. Detroit seems to have attracted the most money with customers betting them all the way from 80/1 at the start of the season.

    Until next week,

    Shane Catford
