Friend of mine owns a gas station. Some dude is about Late 50's retired early.... former chef. And a damn good one. Lost his entire profits, 401k... everything on instant tickets. Has to live in some low income apartment place because he's addicted to instant tickets. The dude doesn't even have a car. Walks to the gas station 3-4 times a day... and buys these instant tickets. First time was a $5 ticket. Was at a gas station buying beer and had $5 and change left over. There was one Monopoly ticket left on the roll so I took it home and won. Cashed it the next day and there was a guy at the lottery office with half a dozen $1,000 or higher tickets waiting to be claimed. I asked him how did you win so many times ? "You gotta buy the entire book man" Well the next day I bought a 'book' ($300 bucks) and won another $10K. Needless to say I bought about 10 more books and lost half my money. I have won $100s a few times and $1000 ONCE but this store by my house had someone hit LIFE on a $1 ticket..$50/day for LIFE and settled for $400,000 but prob got taxed out the a** and in the same week someone hit on a $10 ticket for $300,000, just crazy made me start playing there often but that place has this tickets hanging all over the walls for $1000...$10,000 winners...few for $1000 and $500 but most I ever won was $1000 and not even at that place (Lol).
