    Please provide some advice
I have played with a certain sportsbook (let's call "x") for a couple years, and when I have won, they have always paid out. So, I know they are legit. I always funded my account using the instacheck option from my bank's checking account. Two months ago, i switched banks and now have a new account.

I placed a wager about a month ago, depositing $2000 worth of funds from my checking account. I gave them my new account info on the live chat session, and it was processed fine. I then deposited another $500 a week later, giving them the new info again.

This week, I noticed that the $500 had been taken away from my checking account. But the first $2000 was not. I logged into sportsbook X today, and it said my account was on hold. I chose the livechat session, and was told that my $2000 bounced. I asked why, and then i realized that whoever processed the $2000 had done so with my OLD checking info. They now want me to pay the $2000 via western union to get my account back into good standing.

My question is this. What would happen if I closed my new account also, and simply never used this book again? They have no info on me, including no number, address, etc...their only link to me is my new checking account info, which they have said they cannot process the $2000 for. If i close this new one, never contact them again, etc., will i have to worry that they will come looking for me?

Let me add these facts- the book was dishonest with me before, claiming they had emailed me about matching whatever deposit I put in (so if i deposited 500, they would match 500)- however, they NEVER did email me. They also only mentioned this match bonus AFTER i had deposited the $2000...when I was actually entitled to it before.

I only mention these because this book, while it does pay out, is not a saint by any stretch of the imagination- i guess i just want to know what other people out there would do....

With no disrespect intended, I'd strongly suggest paying your debts without delay.

The bad behavior of a sportsbook should never be used to justify the even worse behavior of a player. If you feel you were wronged monetarily by the book in question then you should probably e-mail Bill Dozer and explain your specific complaint.

Unless I've misread your post, I'm afraid you're not going to get much sympathy here.

i do feel i was wronged monetarily, that's the main issue as to why i wouldnt pay it- thats why i am asking what would happen if i simply never sent the remaining amount to them from my checking account and just had it closed.

So am I missing something or is your major complaint just that they didn't e-mail you regarding a bonus?

As to what would happen were you not to pay your debt, I really couldn't say. I've never tried it.

my main complaint was that when i initially deposited $1000, i should have been given a match play of $1000...i was even told that the CSR simply forgot to tell me. Had I been given this match-play, or even knew about it, i would not have deposited anymore. I am probably going to end up paying, i am just pissed that the match bonus wasn't properly given when i could have avoided depositing more....

So i was thinking of holding out my payment until i could perhaps rationalize with their management to provide me with the correct bonus now, retroactively...in doing this, i wanted to know if anyone had ever had an experience owing a sportsbook money (because they closed a checking account), and what happened when it wasnt paid back...i know these offshore books aren't regulated, and they dont have my social security number, so i was trying to determine if me holding out my payment back to them would be a worthwhile attempt to get the retroactive bonus, of if they would simply be able to get it back from me by other means (though i dont see how).

I'd have to suggest e-mailing Bill Dozer.

I would suggest discussing your grievance directly with a management individual. Hopefully something beneficial for both parties can be worked out. As for your debt; be an honorable person and pay the money you owe. It will benefit you in the long run.

                    What isetcap said.
Bill can probably get you a nice little free roll at the same book for doing the right thing. No promises but its worth a try. These things are bad karma and lets face it, us gamblers sure don't need lady luck working any harder against us.
