Being self employed and paying both my end and companies end on social security. Plus state and federal i paid more than you made. roy you didn't make enough to even talk to you. roy their is a difference between life insurance,variable life insurance,annuities and variable annuities. That is why i had a series 7. it is for selling stocks and viarable annuities. yes annuities aren't what they used to be when the guarantee sp was at 6 %. But in those days you could put 10,000 in passbook savings and get the bank to give you 10 %
