    olympic neteller withdrawl- ID Needed?
I just got this email. Weird/annoying. never had this before.

Please be advised that there have been some changes in our company's policy due to our gaming regulations.
In order for us to process your withdrawal request a picture ID is required showing the address on file. Please submit your ID by fax to 800-310-8304 or scan and email to accounts@thegreek.com.

    Regards,

I find it ok... more ... I appreciate bookies that need ID proof.

Here is a reason: I am economist and I wrote an article to one of the largest Czech newspaper. The point was that the internet gambling is coming and no one and no law can stop it. Therefore the state income from gambling will be diminishing in the next years.

Second day replyied some very stupid guy from department of finance and his whole article was about ONE THING, that is always used against other state wars (drugs etc): we need to protect children!

Everyone knows that no one cares about children, it is all about billions that came to Carribean area beacuse the european states are unable to be betting market-friendly and they can only regulate and regulate.

But the argument of protecting children is remaining. So I invite when bookies need proof of identity because so they steal the argument of states. And I will invite another steps that prove the bettor“s identity. I give much more credit to some "C" offshore bookie than any government.

Yep, it stinks. Neteller ID you already. Handy for the bookies to delay payment though unneccisarily.

I would doubt they do it to protect children, etc or any other reason than for their own ends. Certainly not for the customer.

No one cares about children. Neither bookies nor states. Politicians just declare (for voters) that this is fight for children.
But as long as the bookies do not check the age of gamblers, the politicians will have argument for banning offshore betting.
Look at Italy or Netherlands - they have laws that ISPs do not allow browse to outland“s gambling sites.
The people in Europe are ruined then by state monopoly bookies that have odds -125/-125 + 10% extra charge.
