After 8 years of Obama, it's likely that we'll see the G.O.P. take power in 2016 under the banner of Chris Christie or Rand Paul, and they'll get there because the Republicans will finally have to abandon their Christian-themed moral mandate once and for all. We'll see a Republican candidate endorse abortion, marriage equality and environmental conservation while standing firm on fiscal responsibility and distancing him/herself from the ultra-conservative Bible-thumping wing of the party.

Once that strategy is proven successful, it will become the new blueprint for Conservative politics, and John will have no choice but to join some fringe third-party group like the Dixiecrats of 1948, where he and his ilk can soak their dentures together while discussing how Haitians smell of ass-juice[sic].

SBR will be a ghost town or defunct at that point, but I'm sure he'll remember this post when these things come to pass. I know I sure will.

It is this simple, will minority, uneducated, and low-income voters come out for the polls they way they did in '08. If yes, Obama may unfortunately get 4 more years to tell me who my hard earned money is going to help. If no, Romney will win and I can't say things will get better but I like the chances more.

Obama is so far from being a socialist. If he was a socialist, America would have a single payer system right now. He had the votes in the house and senate. The privite marker insurance companies still have all the power, and still are gonna be making huge profits. There is just now some regulations, that were long over due. And a gurantee that everyone will get health insurance.

47 percent of American's don't pay income taxes because they are so poor. They pay a bigger percentage of their total income then any other group. That is just total nonsense.

Also it was the republicans boy toy in Reagan who is a huge reason why the 47 percent pay no federal income taxes. He exapnded the Earned Income Tax. It was first introduced by ford, expanded by Reagan, and then again by HW Bush.

Pretty much. If the Republicans had been smart enough to nominate a viable candidate, like Huntsman, who would have attracted dis-affected Obama voters, they would have won in a landslide. Instead they nominated the absolute worst candidate they could have in Romney, a guy that has no firm positions on anything.
