costner has another movie called upside of anger....which has nothing to do with baseball....yet he places a former major league pitcher in it.......
he lives next door to this woman who thinks her husband ran off with his secretary or some shit...for several years....cause he disappeared....costner gets close to the woman...and at the end they discover her husbands body in a well on some property between their houses....just funny even in a non baseball movie dude plays a former pro ball player

Don't act like queers, Cobb is the only baseball movie to get you motivated for life...
... unless if you're a woman, than it should be pretty scary.

funny that you mention your girl not being able to get through a chapter of the book...last night, my wife said that she wanted to watch the movie. I read half a paragraph and she quickly reversed that decision. Fascinating stuff and it's interesting to see all the name drops of players that I'm familiar with.
