As far as the lottery, still 50/50 they dont make the play offs.
Even at 20-14 theyre only a few games away from falling into 9th place. Basically 3 games from a 10 seed. A few teams have had some injuries and have faltered alittle bit, while lakers ae basically holding steady, once those teams get healthy they catch right back up the Lakers again.
They have 32 games left, theyre 20-14, if they go 5-10 on the road the rest of the way, and 9-8 at home theyll finish 34-32. Pretty much the best finish I could have seen for them. That should get them into a 8 or maybe even a 7 seed.
Like I said as it is that isnt horrible, I would rather have them be an easy first round out than actually get a lottery pick they might be able to use down the road.
Bottomline is I said the team sucked, and said they would be a lot closer to a lottery team than a contender. That is undisputed at this point.

Do you not realize the cllippers just signed Bobby Simmons? One guy who no other team is interested in. Both LA teams are signing washed up guys, don't ignore the clippers bad moves. They also have Brian cook on the active roster.
Look at the lakers next 10 games. Looks like 8-2. Look like a 4 seed.

yeah I said march would be their month. Look at the next 10 games after that though. 7-3 is more likely for the next 10, maybe even 6-4 if they get on the bad side of a game. But overall they should be around 10-8 or so and around 30-22 going into April. Clippers signed Simmons to a 10 day contract, hardly a big deal. it isnt like they are giving him a private work out and it is making all sorts of news. Clippers also lost a starter for the year so one would asume they might need to look for a little help. What would the lakers be if Gasol or Bynum tore their Achilles and were out for the season? Comparing the Clippers to the lakers is a frigging joke. THAT right there shows how bad the lakers are. When Clips can lose a starter and still be head and shoulders better than them.Comment -

Jan could be a complete smoke show. If they start Dec 0-5, I see Jan as 6-11 on its own so that makes them 6-16 come Feb. I give them 6-7 in Feb, 8-9 in March, and 5-9 in April. That makes them 25-41

That was if Kobe ,missed the first month. He didnt. Thy are 7-5 in feb right now, if they lose tomorrow they will be 7-6. Not too far from 6-7. As it is they had a couple wins that could have easily been losses. But theyre 7-5 nonetheless right now. That was assuming Kobe was back, which since he never left was the case.
Jan with Kobe they were 10-7. So thinking they would be 6-11 without him isnt a stretch. Think he was worth 4 wins? he scored over 40 that many times which probably did get them those wins.
I have even upped my March prediction for them to be 9-8, but 8-9 is also just as possible.
April will be the show, that one will be interesting. I still say 5-9. Which if they win tomorrow and go 9-8 in March will put them at 35 wins.
You are all also assuming Kobe is going to play and be 100% and that Bynum is not going to break down. he just took a shot, which they claim was nothing but with that guy you never know.
lakers have been as fortunate as you can be, no injuries, bynum has played better than expected and gasol has come on really strong. So sure they have a couple more wins than I figured they would, but they have also had no negatives.
As for their ATS record, theyre 14-20 according to my numbers and 4 of those covers have been in the last 6 games. Before that they were 10-18.
regardless you all better hope Kobe isnt made to sit or miss any real time going forward. if he does then I will be the one squawking as the injury bug finally catches up to them, and if that happens then what? Losing Kobe for games would kill this team. Not only for those games but the extra wear and tear on these guys who are already playing 35+ minutes a night just to stay afloat.
Took them a long long time to release the results of Kobe's check up and it was definitely worded carefully. Guy could have a broken face, and if he does he wont be playing any time soon. Even if he wears a mask. So a concussion and a broken nose. And he is also having other things going on they arent talking about, like I said it has all been worded very carefully.
As for the 'apology' sure I guess. I doubt very highly it was sincere. He probably did it more to avoid any repercussions than anything else. But yeah more than 48 hours after the fact I suppose you can believe what you want. What I heard from him was Kobe fouled him at least twice and he still owed Kobe one. Didn't this hater start a thread saying how he had the Lakers going 5-8 in Feb?? He devoted an entire thread to the fact that the Lakers were going to go 5-8 in Feb. He analyzed each game and "assigned" wins & losses a month in advance. He does this each month & each month the Lakers exceed his expectations. He then starts UP w/ the excuses how they got "lucky" in 3 of those wins & didn't have any significant injuries & the other team was missing this player or that player. He keeps babbling about how the Lakers win all the close ones, we'll first of all winning the close ones is a sign of a good team & second of all I specifically remember the Lakers blowing a 7 point lead to Chicago in the last 30 seconds of the game & a 7 point lead to Indiana in the last minute
