Van Gundy is the best guy going right now. I hated him as an annoying whiney twerp coach hanging off Zo's leg, but he is a great broadcaster. He's one of the few who's not dripping with corporate shine.

Always has been a guy who tells it like is - will bitch about anything, even rant about DirectTV and NBA League Pass charges. I like when he talks about coaching in tough spots - like back-to-backs.

Joe Buck is probably my most hated. He thinks he's more important than the game. Also thinks he's a sex symbol or something with his gay hair and head tilt. Fox needs to ice his @ss.

College Basketball easily has the best announcers. Gus Johnson, Mooseburger, Bilas, Rafferty, Knight, Nessler, Rece Davis, and even Dicky V are all great. There's more that I'm missing as well.

Say what you want about Van Gundy but he knows his stuff. If he looked like he might have made a basketball team after 6th grade I think he would get a lot more respect.

I hate with a passion colour commentators that use their time on tv to rant about anything they happen to be feeling. NO!!! Not on my time buddy. When I turn on league pass it's to watch the game!

I get the impression JVG doesn't even enjoy basketball anymore. Seemed appropriate he mentioned the Kardasians during the finals since he's only concerned with getting his "big personality" on air. F@(king tvv@t, I hate his guts!

Hubie Brown on the other hand has a genuine passion for basketball. He's not interested in idle banter, he watches every play like a hawk. He's the model imo.

With that, I still have to say the worst commentators are the British ones that do the FIBA events (not got a clue!) and some of the women that do the WNBA (the shrill of that woman's voice doing the Sky games).
