#36CS, I'm assuming your located in Europe? You make an excellent point. I use to think Don Best was a pretty big company but I quickly discovered they are nothing compared with BetRadar. I guestimate BetRadar is 5-10 times larger in terms of revenue and employees. In my opinion the difference is brought on by the simple fact the US sports betting market is in the dark ages. Europe is a regulated market. They have Futune 500 type companies running and investing in sports betting platforms/technologies. It's really night and day how intergrated a company like BetRadar is with a European sportsbooks.Comment -

#37Just curious since I currently use SportsInsights myself and took a look at SO earlier today. You say the layout is better at SO. Are you using the classic or the Live Odds 3.0 for SI? I personally find the SI layout (3.0 version) to be very easy to navigate and very well layed out. Maybe I'm slightly biased since I used them 1st but I personally think it's a better service.Originally posted by GeeBoxingchamp, donbest is very expensive. To answer your question, you do not need the $199 version. The only thing you that is different from the $99 version is betting system picks (emails about steam moves, alerts etc). These are rubbish and a complete waste of money. I have issues about how they go about this, which I won't go into here. If you understand how to use line movement and use multiple books, then you will be able to make money off the $99 system. Don't think that you are paying $199 for something that will spit out picks for you - you need to figure that out yourself. Anyway, SI and So are basically the same - SO has a slightly nicer layout and more sports, but SI has other things going for it that i like. I use SI, but have used both and would use SO again. This is what I said in another thread: Both offer free trials, so try both for a week each and see what you like.
On a side ntoe, I don't know why so many people swear by SO and then put down SI to be whore shit or what have you. They're similar in many aspects so either they're both trash or they're both decent. Can't see how one dwarfs the other.Comment -

sir, thank you for being on sbr and offering insight into your product, I am very interested in it
I wanted to ask
does SI offer bookmaker, pinnacle, the greek odds/line moves?
why is it that the betting percentages are from recreational books and no betting percentages are offered from books that take pro action like the three already mentioned?Comment -

#43Son I will know more than you ever know
Sports Insights has fraudulent numbers as far as amount of bets
Books dont take 3000 bets on a fukkin hockey game
and 25,000 bets on a nfl game
USA accounts are at an all time low online
I can crush this line serviceComment -

They do show line movements for all three books you mentioned. I personally have Pinny and Olympic (The Greek) at the top of my list of books it reflects line movements on.
Can manually post you a list if you really need it. But those three you mentioned are part of the book info offered.Comment -

#45Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that be the total bets across the 6 or so books they have info on? So you mean to say on average they don't take 500 bets on an NHL game?Originally posted by jjgoldSon I will know more than you ever know Sports Insights has fraudulent numbers as far as amount of bets Books dont take 3000 bets on a fukkin hockey game

#46Are you kidding? Two or three medium sized books will take 25k bets on a NFL game easy. I also don't know where you get the US accounts are at an all time low, but numbers haven't changed much over the last couple of years, throughout the industry. Sure it's not 2006 but there's plenty of business to go around. You also say DonBest is better for the player. Why? I'll give you line tracker is a cool feature. But if I was a player looking for a service, unless having CRIS was a necessity, I'd go with one of the other companies based on price alone.Books dont take 3000 bets on a fukkin hockey game
and 25,000 bets on a nfl game

#50Interesting how so many people swear to make so much money gambling but then think $199 a month is too much to pay for a service.
$1200 a year is a drop in the bucket if you're making money the way many people "claim" to be making. If you're not or you don't bet a lot on games then it's understandable.Comment -

#51$1200 a year is nothing if you bet daily whatever line service you choose
It makes things easy
All I will say is betting percentages, public plays and steam and system plays mean nothing

#52Not arguing that later part of your comment. Their best bets feature is barely positive units. Steam moves are tricky because of a lot of them come from the same book, buying both sides of a game so you need to pay attention, etc. If it was that easy we'd all be rich and living like fat ***** at home.Originally posted by jjgold$1200 a year is nothing if you bet daily whatever line service you choose It makes things easy All I will say is betting percentages, public plays and steam and system plays mean nothing ' No one would work if it was that easy
I'm not even advocating using anyone's software. All the same to me if you do or don't. If you find value in it then go for it. if you don't then don't' use it. Just interesting people bitching $199 a month or $99 a month is too much for a line service yet claim to do well gambling.Comment -

#56I like the line services for HT betting and injury reports. HT betting is underused by most bettors. Books don't have much time to adjust to give a solid HT line. SO and DB are the only ways to go if you are going to pay. Of course for free SBR. I've used them all throughout the years, including G&J years back and have settled for SO. You can get free trials to test the waters.Comment -

#60I was doing the math based on the basic service that most people actually subscribe for which is $99 a month. The premium service is the one that's $199 which very few, form this board, actually subscribe too because they don't feel the added premium features are worth it. So I was simply posting about one but apparently thinking about the latter since it's the one I subscribe to.Originally posted by helsMath isn't something you're very good at, is it?
Simple mistake but obviously it's much easier to troll someone than to simply point out the error. I wouldn't expect anything less from some people.Comment -
