    Julio Franco
Julio Franco hits a 2-run home run last night, and became the oldest player in MLB history to hit a home run.

Franco is 48 years old, and he has more homers then Barry Bonds and Manny Ramirez!

Watched it live last night. It was even better because it shot the Mets in front of the Padres 3-2. I had the Mets.

Amazing to see him get the record, and Im sure he will break this record over and over this year. With each homerun he hits.

He is. If he wasnt, he would be play everyday 1st base. He will get his pinch hit home runs here and there, but the guy is no longer a threat.

If the old fart was smart, he would try to get on a AL team and maybe DH for a team. Like the Royals or Rays.

It's never smart to sign up to play for one of those teams

Well Illusion seems to think he can still be a effective everyday player. So, if he wanted to play everyday, those are the best choices out there.

More than effective. ILL said he would hit 30-35hrs if he were an everyday player

Well if teams still walk Barry every at bat, then I would say Franco.

I have no idea why they still walk Barry, he hasnt shown power. Yet they walk him to pitch to Alou that has hit a few out and has a good average. Until Barry could show me he still has it, I would pitch to him.

that was a fluke and you know it ILL.

that will probly be the only home run he hits all year.

I highly doubt that. He still his some decent pop in that bat.
