I am from hockey country but I am also aware that, for many posters, it is somewhere down the list of sports interests.

Where does hockey rank for you?

    not very interested....

growing up in the detroit area i remember there was a lot of interest in it but for whatever reason that interest never transferred for me. Instead of the Red Wings, I ended up liking the Lions and Tigers.

I always liked hockey. I just never get to see it.

Part of the problem is you can round up a couple of people and go play basketball or even a little baseball. Kids can play those sports in youth leagues.

Pretty hard to find ice to play a pick-up game of hockey (south of the 59th), and having kids in leagues is an comparatively expensive and time-consuming endeavor.

Also, those God-forsaken points for losses. You'll never make it in the US with that kind of shit.

No interest in hockey whatsoever. Don't bet on it, don't follow it.

Come on, it's played on ice. Definately not real.

I've always thought teams should go get one of those 1200 pound people you see on talk shows just to sit down in front of the goal with their arms up. Get someone who's fat covers the entire goal and you're homefree.

Im not the biggest hockey fan, but I will try to catch as much of the playoffs as I can. I never use to watch it in the past, but do a lot more these days.

Besides the NFL, hockey is the only professional sport I can seriously watch without having action on a game. I'll watch a Yankee game with no action, but I couldn't just watch the Tigers and A's play 9 innings if I didn't have someone. The NBA is nearly unwatchable, even in the playoffs.

I used to watch hockey all the time in high school and loved playing street hockey. Never could skate that well. Was one of my favorite pick-up sports. We used to play in 10-degree weather with snow on the pavement. We used a tennis ball as a puck, and when you caught it right on a little snow, it gave it a powerful blast. Once playing goalie, I took one right between the eyes and smashed my glasses in half.

I bet hockey playoffs for years toward the end of high school and college and actually had some success. As I got older and had more responsibility, I kinda dropped it in favor of football, basketball and baseball.

I used to hate hockey, but over the last few years have grown to like it. There's nothing like playoff hockey either.
