The axe is falling on some NHL good old boys
63 year-old PAT QUINN, owner of 2 Jack Adams Awards (Coach of the Year) and an Olympic gold medal, has been fired as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs after seven seasons.

(Although it hasn't been announced, former Carolina coach Paul Maurice will almost certainly be his replacement.)

And out of Pittsburgh, Hall of Fame General Manager CRAIG PATRICK has been shown the door. Among Patrick's credits are 2 Stanley Cup championships with the Penguins. He was also assistant coach of the 1980 Miracle on Ice U.S. Olympic team.
