Actually JJ, my normal play is a parlay. Which I have going right now. But I saw a chance to get some free money and I took it.

I had actually lost a parlay bet I liked on Oregon not hitting the over ($5 bet to win $1,250) and I wanted my money back. So I made this bet. Not chasing really. I just saw an opportunity for some free money so I can freeroll another $5 parlay (same parlay just minus Oregon of course). Call it a mulligan if you will. Sure there was some remote chance I would lose it. But as long as I make a bet that has +value I can handle a loss. I wouldn't like it but it's ok because the long run is in my favor.

I don't expect you all to understand. I go with what works for me. All you guys bet big and you win big and that's great, I wan't to be in your league (minus the going broke part and the selling of my grandmother's false teeth to make a bet). And this is the way I'm going to get there. But get there I will (unless of course I die for some reason before that happens).

I've got a good job that pays well. Safe bets and slow growth work for me cuz I don't need to live off it. But I would love to be able too.

This is kind of funny really. I thought you all would get a good laugh and you are but it's kind of morphing into "a what type of species of sports bettor is this?" Kind like, "is Pluto really a planet?" Like I'm some puzzle you are trying to figure out. "He doesn't sound like an idiot, but why is he betting like one?" And make no mistake. I am betting like an idiot in your eyes (and sometimes even in mine).

Since I rarely/never bet point spreads (unless teased), I need to get value where I can find it. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Don't get greedy just take what they give you.

Actually, those big parlays were just for fun bets and I am pretty sure that one lost. Taking a stab with some house money. Freerolling so to speak.
