#8Imagine that....one day after 'the deal' was reached...we borrowed all the way to the debt ceiling again...HUGE % of GDP and now 2 year bonds are at record lows and markets tanking due to the fact that the biggest single tax increase on record is coming in December. CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!!!

#10Just my two cents. Blaming Obama for not "creating jobs" = bogus.
What type of jobs would these be? Jobs where a guy can twitter and facebook for 8 hours, while pulling a check? Americans don't like to work. Foreigners will do manual labor and low-wage tasks, Americans won't.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#15Not just Obama - Congress in general.....not including an extension of the payroll tax holidays for the middle class and wage earner's is going to hit the people hard bro. Exclude Cali and NYC type costs of living from the example...but everywhere else in the nation - midwest especially- people making under $45k or so will automatically lose $1300-$1500 a year with the expiration.....tell me that's not going to stifle any progress made in an already weak consumer driven economy. And this hot/dry summer we're having is killing off crops which will equal higher prices on household staples to eat also.....shitt storm of bad things to come.Originally posted by King Mayan

#32nice talking point but doing business is not cheap now and hidden fees like the tax stamp increases and overall hikes for notary fees (costs of doing business) coupled with the ridiculous repatriation of funds from global business...I could go on and on.Originally posted by King MayanRepublicans rather have corporate welfare than give tax breaks to the middle class like the Obama stimulus.
I'm coming at it from operations that make up 78% of the businesses.....you're right about 'corporate' welfare though...guess that's why GE's boss is Obama's guy who paid $0.00 in taxes on profits all the while encouraging the rest of us to spend spend spend what profits we have and just go broke in the mean time...and just last week GE announced they are opening up another shop overseas

#33As I'm typing this the market is down about 3.4%. Not exactly a jump out the window number.
Many stocks, including a lot of blue chip stocks, are going to correct. Maybe not right away, but there is money to be made here. Look for companies that make a large profit during the christmas season, like Apple. Those stocks will snap back sooner than later.Comment -
