The San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers nearly completed a blockbuster trade on Wednesday afternoon, but the deal fell apart in the late stages. San Antonio was prepared to ship Tony Parker and the #29 pick to Portland in exchange for Andre Miller, Nicolas Batum and the #21 pick, but the trade died when the Spurs insisted that Richard Jefferson somehow be included in the deal. Other players would have been included in the trade to make salaries work. Talks have quieted for now, but they could pick back up tomorrow if one of the teams has a change of heart.

Having Parker in SA is terrible for team chemistry. Don't think any other team wants him though.

yeah Braves by the way glad our Braves playin better getting healthy ha. Going to watch the 3 game series up in Seattle can't wait. Never know with the Blazers i've live near by Portland the majority of my life some of the decisions they make i don't get. Not sure about Parker but Miller is getting up there guess will see what happens.

It's a good idea. He has some value and still has some youth left.

The talk now is that there is a possibility of trading George Hill if the total deal can get them higher in the draft, somewhere between 9-12.

I actually thought vyommer might be back for a second but figured it was probably an old thread. Shame.

I don't believe the Spurs will do this. They know Tony's value. They will not give up on him like they've never gave up on T. Duncan.
