Always good to see ideas for a contest.

But the toughest thing to do is to have all the sponsors go for it. Not sure we could get that. Im sure the upper management could look this idea over and better assess it for you.

I appreceate all contributions to this forum but what makes me shy away from this idea is that it's not a handicapping contest. This is a site for sports bettors. That's the activity that unites us all. So it makes sense to me that our contests should involve our central activity.

agree. I mean...if it's free...I'm all for it...but if we have to allocate sbr's and the sponser's money..i'd rather it be to something that's not a pick the longest straw contest.

The votes are in for a Bingo Prize Sponsored Contest!

The vote is 6 in favor and 4 opposed...however, the idea that I was trying to get across was that any contest that this site can have that is free with a potential of a cash account or other prize will bring people/hanicappers from other websites. In other words, I have several sites where I post, such as cbssportsline and bigguy.com and if those guys found out that they could get a free $$$ account by just visiting the site and printing a Sponsored Bingo Card, then they would print it and stick it next to their computer. The sponsored names would be seen by them every day and they would tell friends. To further the idea...is that each day they would have to come back to the site in order to see which sponsored names were posted for that day. Once they see the site and get used to the format, I think they might stay or at least think about it! Let me know if you guys have any feedback? rnc is done!

Capping tournies and stuff is just routine now ... every man and his dog has one ... its good to be different.

I see. Well if the contest is only open to guys who have verified deposited accounts at the sponsoring books then I can see it as a fresh approach that may be worth a try.

I think the books would be interested...

as their names would be located on the website daily, plus their names would be mentioned more than once by those playing the game! If the prize isn't offered by the books, then perhaps the website could sponsor it and this would bring more visitors to the site, thereby reeling in at least some of the visitors and possibly having a few stay, which would add to the already growing base of clients. Either way I think the website would be the winner, not to mention the sportsbooks who allow the website to use their name on the cards. The idea is to have something different and at the same time make it interesting for the players, meaning everyone has a chance. If it's free you have to think about how many people would be willing to visit the sbr forum site!
