Osama Bin Laden Dead

I think Bin Laden just tried to outsmart everyone who was after him and decided that the least likely place they would look for him would be somewhere near a large civilization population and near an actually military base. Not even the American or Paki enforcement would think he would be that DUMB to hide out somewhere so close to the people tracking him down.

Sort of like Kaiser Soise in Usual Suspects.

Oh well....guess he was wrong.

its much too early for that to be particularly relevant, voters have very short memories. i would be suspicious if it happened within 4 months of the election when things really heat up. so many things can happen (heightened violence in the middle east, continued economic downturn) that can muck it for Obama. just look what happened to Bush Sr. after his swift and lauded victory in the first Persian Gulf, many considered his re-election a sure thing.

the details of the events are murky and some even conflicting, we won't get the full picture of what happened until historians have had a few decades to analyze official documents that will become de-classified over time. until then we can only speculate and/or trust what is being released with a cautious eye.
