I really wonder about Getwin... I don't think they're outright scam, because they seem to have paid all players not involved with steam betting. I think they underestimated the negative financial aspects of steam betting and because they apparently have no automated way to adjust their odds accordingly, they pull off something like this. How can a book be that stupid? Were they expecting only squares to sign up? They didn't even have a sign-up bonus if I remember correctly... so what were they expecting? Word of mouth will spread about their non-pay, and a new book with that kind of publicity will not get any more customers. Can't imagine they will still be around in a year, so better get your money out of there.

But yes, it is obvious that Getwin wanted to be a bookmaker for small time clients given that their limits were low compared to other places. But they would definitely have known what was going on from early on in, yet they let people continue to hit them hard for months. They were probably hoping that people would go on a losing streak but seeing as they kept on winning, they decided that they could use a bullshit clause and void winnings to get out of paying. Obvious scam / fraud tactic on the part of Getwin. The six amounts from players Justin7 mentioned alone gets up to about $15000. We know from bookmakersreview that there are at least 16 people with closed accounts so we will be talking a lot of money, at least doubling that $15k.

Certainly the the more pro players will stear clear from Getwin, but small timers will still be lured in.

Well, with outright scam I mean a sportsbook like bestake or bet911 which sole purpose was to collect as much money as possible and then run away. I don't think this was Getwin's intention, and such behavior is uncommon for a Maltese licensed book. When a rec player hit a $20k parlay, I think they would pay him, while some shady caribbean sportsbook wouldn't. It's all about that professional / steam thing, they couldn't defend themselves and now when it's pay day they come up with shady excuses. You're right, what getwin did was scam as well, of course. I didn't mean to excuse their confiscation of funds.

Its a scam and not correct place to play.One day someone will make same bet as you and your money will be confiscated.

Hello to all. I had the same problem with Getwin, 2 months ago they stole 5700 EUR from me (syndicate betting, of course). I've sent few mails to LGA Malta, and they said they will contact Getwin. Many weeks passed, no notice from LGA, and yesterday the big surprise. Getwin sent me a mail, saying they made a mistake, and that they re-opened my account. Today I've asked the withdrawal of the entire amount, and now the money is on my Moneybookers account!

No, LGA haven't sent me any mail, but I will ask them, just to be sure they are the reason Getwin paid.
