Plays for Monday 4/25
L.A. Angels ML -155 2units
Angels starting pitcher Jared Weaver (5-0, 1.23 ERA) leads the majors in wins, the AL in ERA, and has struck out a major league-leading 39 in 36 2/3 innings. Opponents are batting .150 against him. Angels were swept by Boston over the weekend, and will bounce back at home tomorrow night with Weaver on the mound. The A's will start the strong armed Gonzalez who gave up four runs and eight hits in six innings of a 5-3 loss to Boston last Wednesday, after starting the season allowing one run over 19 innings in his first three starts. Gonzalez was finally shaken up and brought back to reality, and look for this to continue with Angels lineup coming off a poor series at the plate, they will turn it around against Gonzalez. Gotta trust Weaver for another win tomorrow night and going to wager the Moneyline at -155 for 2 units. Not going to go big on this one though because the Angels have been cold at the plate and are in a 4 game skid.
N.Y. Yankees ML -190 6units
New York (12-6) has won three straight and seven of nine. The Yankees averaged 6.6 runs and has hit 18 homers during the past 9 games. Derek Jeter is batting .519 in his last seven home games against Chicago.The Yankees have won 13 of these teams' last 16 meetings in Yankee Stadium. The White Sox road trip will become even worse when Chicago heads to the Bronx tomorrow night. The White Sox have dropped 10 of 11 overall and six of seven on their 11-game swing. Chicago got outscored 21-3 in a weekend sweep at Detroit, suffering shutouts in the last two games. The White Sox lost 3-0 Sunday, and their scoreless streak extended to 20 innings. Chicago is batting .193 over the last 11 games. Phil Humber will get the start for Chicago tomorrow night he is (1-2) with a 4.42 ERA and he has lost 2 consecutive starts. The right-hander allowed a season-high four runs in 5 1/3 innings of a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay last Wednesday. A.J Burnett will get the start for the Yanks and he has compiled a 3-0 record on the season with a 4.37 ERA. Going Big on the Yankees and wagering the Moneyline at -190 for 6 units. They are hitting the ball like crazy lately and Burnett has yet to lose a game, they are facing the coldest team in baseball right now with the CHISOX playing bad baseball on this roadtrip.
Philadelphia Phillies ML -160 3.25units
No need for a long writeup on this game, I am trusting Cliff Lee to come out and pitch well. Philly is playing solid ball and they have outscored opponents 16-6 while winning five games in a row. Lee has won both of his career starts against Arizona, compiling a 2.57 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 14 innings. He last faced the Diamondbacks on Aug. 19, 2009, when he tossed a two-hitter while fanning 11 in an 8-1 Phillies win. Philadelphia has won 10 of the last 13 meetings against the Diamondbacks. Wagering the Moneyline once again at -160 for 3.25 units.

1-2 on the day, and got my ass kicked with the 6 unit yankees loss, and the 3.25 Phil's loss. I felt really good about both the Yankees and Phillies, and they had many chances to win, but no matter how well a pitcher throws any given night, if you cant hit, you cant win. Sorry for anyone who tailed my losing plays yesterday, Lost 8units yesterday, worst day on the season so far. I think I am going to take a few days off so I don't go on tilt from such a terrible night.
