    Slow Paying Sporstbooks
I bet on tennis matches with sportsbetting.com
I know sportsbetting.com has a sketchy reputation but I have my reasons for using them. I placed a straight wager on James Blake to beat Lleyton Hewitt yesterday. It took over 6 hours for my winnings to hit my account after the match was over. Is this normal?

6 hours seems a little excessive to me.

Sometimes on secondary sports books can be a little slow to grade.

What do you mean by secondary sports books?

I think secondary book just basically means that it's neither a top rated nor top volume book. It's not up there with the actively competetive heavyweights like Pinny or most of the banner books here.

In this case, you also have to consider that tennis is considered a secondary sport. Sportsbooks aren't hanging on every serve like they keep a sharp watch for final scores from the major pro (and ncaa) teams. Golf, Nascar and boxing can sometimes be slow too. Sports like snooker, darts, rugby can be even slower.

Still, there's no excuse for 6 hours. That's pretty bad. With some books, you can phone up and light a fire under them and get your wager graded if it's taking too long. You shouldn't have to but I've had situations where it was necessary.

When I contacted SB support about their slow grading of tennis in the past, they told me that prop wagers are only reviewed every 24 hours!

I think Laker means that tennis is a secondary sport in that it does not receive a lot of action, and many books are slow to grade secondary sports action.
