More innovation from Pinnacle.
When a book sets a side-total they're naming the game's implied score. These scores are called a team total.
Tonight's Orlando-LAL game is set at -9, 195. That's an implied score of 93-102. That's the only score that satisfies the algebra.
Let's say you've made the total 199 so you're interested in the Over, but first you handicap the implied score.
You find you have a lot more confidence that Orlando will get at least 93 than you do that LAL will get 102. Maybe you think the Lakers are so inconsistent that you can't count on them for any total, but that with Hill and Turkoglu back Orlando will at least get theirs.
Now you can express this opinion with a Team Total bet at the same juice as a regular totals bet.
Currently Olympic has team totals but their limit is $500 and the juice is -110. Pinnacle's lines are -108 and they take $2000.
