Not many good gambling movies out there. I heard Shade was good and when I saw it thought it was a little over-rated. Still gotta say Rounders is the best which is a little pathetic considering it came out in '98.

Croupier was good, I saw it when it came on dvd. Crazy realizing that Clive Owen would become so big from that. Bookies was kind of OK, not that good, but watchable.

I made it halfway through and stopped it. I think my expectations may have been set too high going into it.

I enjoyed Poolhall Junkies.

This was a fun movie, but the acting by lead character (Mars Callahan) was pretty bad. I am not sure who he was trying to be. I kept getting a cheesy Ben Affleck vibe from him. Kind of like rounders with pool. Christopher Walken and Chazz Palmintari made this movie work. Ricky Schroder was good too.
