Edmonton Oilers Arena Question

Is it me, or does the lighting there look a lot dimmer than most other hockey arenas? It seems like the corners are darker than the middle of the ice.

Watching them play the Predators tonight on TV. I can't stand watching games there. It looks like they have only 2 lights on.

No wonder there are darker areas on the ice. It looks like they have porch lights on the ceiling. I'm glad this is the last year they have in this arena.

I always thought the same thing any time I have watched a home Oilers game. Also distracting that their camera area is on the opposite side every other arena has it on, so the benches are at the bottom of the TV screen.

Canadian ice is usually the best in the NHL. I'm fairly certain Edmonton's arena is solely an ice arena. No concerts or rodeos or other BS. That allows them to keep it in immaculate shape.

When the Red Wings played the Oilers... years ago... all the broadcasts were darker than usual.

I can only imagine what it looks like on a HD Feed now.

I was a failed Oiler nation member, I tried to bring awareness to the little guy but ultimately fell short. We will be great again though

As an oilers fan I agree with this. I've been to this arena over 50 times and it's one of if not the worst arena I've ever been too. Thankfully next year the oilers are moving into Rogers place and rexall will be used for concerts. Rogers place is right beside my university and it's going to easily be the best arena in the NHL.

Ya the place is a concrete dump. New arena downtown will be great, but if the Canadian dollar continues to tank it may not have adequate lighting either.

I got just the rig and crew to get this job accomplished . We will drill horizontally from outside Calgary city limits so not to disturb the homeless sleeping outside the saddledomez.

As for edmonton , lets plant the rig right in the middle of down town . These NDP government clowns need to see what a Derrick looks like . Will steal the oil and flood the ice with it . Might be cheaper then water

Well not everyone can go to college dude . Not a bad job , pretty sweet to make between 100-200 grand a year with no education . And usually only work 10 months of the year . The rigs use to get a lot more scummy people , but they have cleaned up a lot . It's hard work and certain types of men can not handle it
