newton is going to be the biggest fukkin bust. cant wait till the first time he tucks it and runs and clay matthews is laying in the weeds and knocks him the fukk out. sick all yr of seeing this guy take off and have 5 different guys miss the tackle on him. that shit aint gonna happen on sundays.

Mallett and Luck are better prospects but Newton still could be a good player, leading the country in passer rating in the SEC is tough to do.

couldn't agree more. mallett reminds me of a poor man's bledsoe. not the kind of qb you need in today's nfl. newton may be a bust in nfl, but he'll be able to buy and sell you and your whole family fold once he signs a contract.

I see Arizona drafting him. The Bills have a decent QB for the playstyle of the team. AZ should be next in line with Carolina taking Luck. I for one think AZ will be a good fit with decent weapons provided someone can get them the ball. He might just make that franchise viable. Besides look at the division he'd be playing in, amazingly soft will make the SEC look like a prison league.

Carolina has a pretty good offensive line when they get back Otah next year and good running backs. Also a strong linebacking corps when Thomas Davis comes back from injury.

Yes they need some recievers. Yes they need a stud on defensive line and help in the secondary.

QB is still the most important position on a team. Until you have that you have nothing and Jimmy Claussen is not ever going to be in the class of Brady, Rivers, Manning, Rodgers, etc. Many people think Luck has a chance to be. That is why he will be drafted number 1 by the panthers if they lose out and get the first pick.

Bigger, definitely. Faster, Possible, but not sure. Smarter, How the hell does anyone on this board know that?! If his off the field antics are any indication of his mind, then he has a long way to go mentally. Other than the Michael Vick comeback story and I guess to an extent Ben Rapistberger, a QB with bad judgement off the field usually translates to a bad QB on the field. Name any QB's that have had off field issues that are or were good QBs on the field. I put Big Ben on the cusp only because I think his problem isn't completely bad judgement, but mostly just being an A$%hole.

willis of the 49ers will be able to track him down speed wise, cant wait for lewis or harrison to lay a big hit on him and see how he responds. i do think the nfl is gravitating to a league where you need mobile qbs but im not sold on him being the top prospect

Thought Newton Would be an NFL Bust. So far he has played well. Competitive QB, elusive, no off field issues, and has a live arm. He needs to improve his accuracy, and cut down on mistakes. Time will tell if he can lead Carolina to the SB.
