    Downgrade BETAtlas.Com?
If you are going to downgrade BETAtlas based on the leaving of a marketing manager, at least get the guy's name right.

    01.21.2006 (10:59 AM CST)
SBR Bill Dozer reports: BetAtlas(SBR rating C) parts with key member of management. Gary Thompson, formerly with BetCRIS(SBR rating A+), was responsible for the website’s facelift and procedural changes. Both Mr. Thompson and ownership tell SBR they agreed to part ways due to differences in the direction of the company

No Better, is that not the correct way to spell Gary's name?

It is funny because a lot of times guys are using an alias and they themselves occasionally sign their name wrong. So maybe what you’re saying is spell is their fake name correctly?

Hey - I appreciate your input, No Better. You can't put a value on correct spelling and grammar.

I think you and Spellchecker should have a head-to-head contest.

I reckon BBD put out a contract on him.

I don't think it's ever a good thing when a book manager leaves (correct name or not)...

betaltlas, 724, playhorizon(or is it bethorizon?)
Does the same guy own all of these?

It has been reported that Spellchecker is trying to work out an arrangement with BBD that will allow him to post without being booted. It may be that Spellchecker will have to agree to a "hands off" policy concerning BBD's individual posts. That should still leave him with plenty of material to work with.

These are all Horizon Sports sites. PlayHorizon.com was a sister site to Pro5 (looking at downgrade back to F).

Titles don't mean a whole lot in this biz. Gary was the marketing director at CRIS as well but was also head of CS and other projects. He did a lot for Atlas in a short time and they are better for having him stop by. If nothing else, the 25% bonuses and "no-rollover" policy is gone. The site stands well above Horizon visually and new banking options should facilitate new signups.

Horizon Sports pays and post-up players who are there now (mostly credit) are probably there for life. I just don't think they will be able to be as aggressive with the push into post-up as they could be with him.
