When Facebook, Amazon, Walmart or Google buy a new company a lot of times is to shut down their services. So someone who does not like offshore odds, like a US based book, may have bought SBR for the sole purpose of shutting down their offshore odds service.

A lot of business decisions are not made for the good of the people that use the service but for the good of the stockholders or executives.

Reminds me of Starbucks who would open a few new shops in strategic locations around a Mom and Pop coffee place, put that place out of business and then move the Starbucks out to other areas, keeping only the one near the old Mom and Pop shop.
