    Former NFL MVP Cam Newton has reached agreement on a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the New England Patriots, league sources tell @mortreport and me.

    Newton now will step into the mix to try to help replace former Patriots’ QB Tom Brady.

    Cam signs for the bare minimum but Kap wants $20 million to play. Cam wants to play football, Kap wants to be a martyr .... I hope Cam is an absolute beast this season. Love it!!!

    The last time Two former MVP QBs changed teams in the same offseason was in 1993 according to Elias, when Joe Montana and Boomer Esiason were both traded.

    RB Marcus Allen also changed teams that offseason as well, leaving the Raiders to sign with the Chiefs    .

    I could see Bellichek coming up with some very innovative new offense for short yardage, goal line, and a series per game as a change up to Stidham if he wins the job.

    Cam has to buy in and be willing to sacrifice his body and swallow his pride though
