I understand the owners and league realizing this is two more games of solid revenue for them, but they've essentially erased most of the advantage of finishing 2nd. Sure you'd still enjoy home field in the divisional round, IF you get there! There's also virtually no difference between finishing 5th, 6th or 7th. Silver lining, two more games to bet on?
