    Baseball Trivia with Archie

about to watch my Evansville + 7 wager in a bit. you have 10 mins to tail

but heard a fun baseball trivia and since we've had some of these type of threads lately, thought I'd make one to add to throughout the year.

no googling, think this one through

    1. What was the only offensive category that Carlton Fisk ever led the league in for a season?

Before my time but I'll take an honest stab. I'm guessing it's something bad since it's a trivia question about a good player. So I'll guess he led the league in strikeouts?

I just looked up his stats after I guess...ya way wrong on my guess. Dude never even had 100ks in a season that I saw. Such a terrible guess on my part. I apologize to his friends and family for such a terrible guess.

Stan Musial? I apologize in advance if I'm way off I'm doing these honestly not looking anything up but I embarrassed myself on the last one. Fisk was a contact guy and I guessed strikeouts lol. I coulda sworn I heard something about Musial being born of a coal miner though.

No idea on the other one. Musial was an even better man than player though. When Pujols was in his run of greatness in St. Louis, the media started calling him "the man" at first and he asked them to stop bc of Stan "the man" Musial. That's how much respect people had for Musial. There's an annual awards show named after Musial each year that celebrates sportsmanship and heroic achievements.

In 1980 Carlton Fisk also led all of the major leagues in being hit by pitches (13)

Which BTW is an offensive category.

    close, but no

Bo Jackson was drafted in the 2nd round by the Yankees in 1982 but he decided not to sign and instead go to Auburn.

In 1996 He was signed first overall by the Tampa Bay Bucs, but did not sign, later he was drafted in the 4th round by the Kansas City Royals.

in the 1997 NFL draft Bo was taken in the 7th round by the Raiders

There's gotta be an NFL WR or TE that was also good at baskets that we're overlooking if nobody got it yet? Gd I can't think of one right now for some reason.
