#4Bravo to SBR in DQ'ing folks who were (allegedly) cheating. I say allegedly since I obviously don't have any definitive proof myself that they were cheating, but if SBR decided that they were and acted upon it, well good to see they are trying to root that nonsense out.
As I posted before, one of the very rare times I played in the early tourney I witnessed a very suspicious hand played between a couple of these folks (don't remember which two exactly, it was awhile ago) which involved them checking it down postflop and one of the two checking behind on the river with a full house. Was suspicious enough that I messaged another poster to ask their opinion about it. Again one hand is not definitive proof, but to witness something so suspicious (suspicious enough that I felt the need to message someone about it) in just a single time playing with a few of these folks speaks fairly loudly.
Anyway, good job to SBR in taking care of this if that was going on - people doing that type of crap and getting away with it will only discourage honest posters in the long-term as well as discourage non-pros from turning pro. So bravo on the hard stance!
And it seems like those folks are also banned from the forum also, not just poker so that's also good imo. Again, taking a very hard stance against folks who are cheating the system is the only way to go if you want to try to get rid of it - being soft on scammers will only encourage more future ones to try.Comment -

#5ive played against enough known teammates live in underground games and in casinos to recognize soft play, or aggressive multi-party play against a mark to know there was bullshit going on in the 2pm.... used to be my tourney of choice but after seeing enough of it for about a week or two over a year ago or so -- perhaps even longer -- I moved to the 7 pm.....Comment -

I've seen some pretty damning hand histories. You don't bet 60 into a 800 pot on the river against a opponent "for value".
That's let em off the hook bet or "don't call I have it" betComment -

#19I'm pretty shocked considering they have allowed massive cheatiing in BTP, college football contest etc and done absolutely nothing.

#21It had to be hard evidence. I usually multitask while playing a tourney-also when i play for points. I know i was once warned that i 2 in row checked absolute nuts as last one on the river…
But if i watch a game i bet 100 bucks on i dont really care so much specially if it is early in the tourney.Comment -

#28I asked Opti for every name and although their points were already turned off by that time, I then banned them all. This is what I would have always done - and always did in the past - but a few things changed where I wasn’t necessarily able to recently. However I know how and why the BetPoints system and poker platform were started and how John would feel about people blatantly thieving or cheating it. That includes our contests now also in which many have already been banned from Pick6 thankfully! My legend of a mate Louise also backed me up on those bannings and any future ones that need to occur so if you see anything you think may be untoward simply PM myself or Opti and we’ll do our best to sort it out.
Best of luck at the tables!Comment -

#35Was not up to me. I just reported the facts.
Sorry to see them gone though really.
I made the point that Bobbywaves and Firekillex not only did the same thing, but look like it was done for personal gain instead of gifting to friends.
I'd be surprised if either last until the finals..Comment
