well, a lot of folks believe he won the first meeting vs ward. i don't know. but the second one was a TKO. he certainly left something in the ring that day. he is 4-1 since then but was TKO'ed yet again.

canelo deserves to be favored, but 5 to 1 feels high

Great fighter but GGG beat him that first fight. It was not a draw. I watched it 3 times and had GGG 7 rds to 5 or better each time.

Fair, I just think Canelo is the better fighter in the prime of his career.

He’s faced the best of the best and Kovalev though great won’t throw anything at Canelo he hasnt seen before.

Gotta agree with this, Golovkin clearly won that first fight. Cost me a few units too.

thanks for posting but are you sure those are current odds? and the margin between the fave and the dog does not seem high enough.

Without knowing the fighters it would appear Kinda crazy that a guy moving up essentially 2 weight classes is a 4.5/1 favorite.

Canelo is the superior boxer in every way and is the headliner so I guess that will account for the price.

Kovalev has been in with 1 boxer who is as good as Canelo and he got beat physically and mentally both times. This is his last chance to prove he is anything more than a good fighter. I hope Canelo ends his career before going back down to 160-168 and fighting champs like Benvanidez, Plant, Charlo and Smith. I don’t see ggg beating Canelo now. Getting older while Alvarez entering his prime.
