I prefer they do it that way than start a game when you know a storm coming in. Screws a gms vibe all up when they start them then take a 2 hour break.. Tony Larussa used to be a genius w it tho, it is the home teams option whether or not to start a game, once it begins it up to the umps/league I believe. So he would choose to start them and have a pen guy pitch till the inevitable delay after a inning or 2, then would bring starter in after the delay while the other team used theirs up and obviously didn’t bring them back often after the long delay! lolOriginally posted by sosawestbrookComment
