    Clemson v. Alabama - Pick

25-29, 8-9 in bowl games, after the horrible bad beat in the Ohio State game.

I think the value is with Alabama at 5.5. Alabama controlled the whole game against Oklahoma but they were inconsistent with a month off and didn't finish several drives, the defense played prevent with the big lead most of the second half.

The last 2 years Clemson has had a great running game with Watson, Gallman, and other running backs. This year Lawrence is not the type of dual threat QB that has give Alabama trouble, like Manziel and Watson. Etinne is not one of Clemson better running backs, he had a good year in the weak ACC, but he's only 200 pounds, and Alabama should be able to control Clemson's running game without putting extra players in the box or moving their safeties up. Alabama has one of their best offensive lines in years and 3 very good running backs, Clemson isn't likely to have Lawrence for the ND game unless his appeal is overturned. The best team Clemson played this year was Notre Dame, an overrated team that mostly played against weaker teams in the big ten and ACC.Alabama should be able to run, and that should open up the field for Tua to attack a Clemson pass defense that has been inconsistent.

Not that I care, South Carolina moved the ball easily on Clemson's secondary, Clemson's schedule has been an absolute joke.

Literally one bad game from the secondary. They were dominant otherwise.

Clemson's schedule was an absolute joke. Look at the quarterbacks they faced.

Boston College- bad quarterback, running team

    FSU - bad team

    Pitt - QB was bad

    Wake - bad team

    Georgia Tech - Couldn't pass

Syracuse - running QB who was an inconsistent passer all year

Duke - no receivers who are talented

NC State - Got exposed against Texas A&M and Wake, not a good team

The ACC was horrible this year/

Clemson let Texas A&M throw for nearly 500 yards on them, South Carolina went up and down the field on them, Alabama is much better than both

Forgot about A&M. That was a rough one. NC State had less than 200. They kept people under 190 a game on the year. Pitt to like 9 yards.

NC State and Pitt were both bad to average teams, look what happened to NC State in the bowl game.

The only team with an offense somewhat similar to Alabama is Texas A&M, and A&M thew for nearly 500 yards.

Bama's going to win and cover the spread. Fact is Trevor Lawrence at this stage in his career is nowhere near as potent and dynamic a weapon as Deshaun Watson was at Clemson. They don't have a Mike Williams or Jordan Leggett either. Oklahoma is a much better offense and although they moved the ball on Bama they never really found any consistency until Bama had built a large lead and sense of complacency had settled in with the Tide... Not to mention Kyler Murray displayed much more mobility than will Lawrence, who has a much lankier frame and presents a larger target for defenders.

Clemson's defensive line is as good as it gets but over the course of 60 minutes Alabama will grind it out, wear it down, and hit some plays down field to ultimately pull away, especially given the fact that I don't think Clemson will sustain enough clock chewing drives to keep Tua and company on the sideline.

Pitt's quarterback play was garbage most of the year, their running backs carried that team.

Their schedule sucked, no doubt. I’d be careful looking at who they played and not how they played though. They didn’t win because of a weak schedule. They won because they’re an elite team. Bama plays cupcakes too. Obviously better teams in the SEC thrown in there too. Georgia gave them all they could handle. Georgia struggles against Texas who struggled against Oklahoma who struggled against Bama. Can go on and on about how looking at opponents is risky. Good luck.

Clemson's defensive line is good, but Alabama's offensive line is just as strong, and Alabama has 3 running back, 2 of which will likely be starting running backs in the NFL.

You're overrating the Georgia game, Tua was on 1 leg in that game, he's healthy now. Alabama easily defeated the same Texas A&M team Clemson struggled against.

This Clemson team is not elite, the Clemson teams from the last 2 years would beat this one easily and Bama is stronger than they've been in recent years.

In general, I’d throw the A&M game completely out the window. It was four months ago.

A&M was the only offense Clemson faced that is remotely to Alabama, Clemson had the same issues against South Carolina they had against A&M.

I still give the edge to Clemson's defensive line but yes, Alabama's offensive line will be the best they've seen this year and the fact they can rotate fresh running backs is a luxury few teams have. Bama is just too balanced offensively to be denied. They have the weapons to give Clemson fits and I don't believe Clemson has enough counter punches.

This line would have been 8.5 before Alabama struggled against Georgia. They struggled against Georgia because Tua was hurt, he's healthy now.

No way a Kelly Bryant led Clemson beats this Clemson. Don’t really think Bama is all that much stronger. Offense, yeah. Defense, meh. They’re about as good as always. Clemson is better than last year though. No doubt.

    I got Bama 37-21'ish .
Clemson is good but Tua has changed the Bama program .
No more power and defense and that's it .
It's power, passing and if you want a shoot out , let's go .
If you want a slow physical game , they can do that too .
That wasn't any team in the past , it was power and physicality .
    But we'll see come Monday

He’s a beast. Best college QB I’ve seen in a while. Not sure how he didn’t win the Heisman. Think you’re just looking at this from one side only. You’re inflating everything Bama did and downplaying everything Clemson did. You obviously made up your mind, but you would think it’s gonna be 70-0 the way you talk about it.

To argue Bama was better last year is ridiculous. Alabama had a better secondary, they replaced 6 starters. But the rules favor great offense over great defense and Alabama's offense is far better this year, Hurts couldn't complete a 10 yard pass at times.

I think Clemson is the 3rd best team in college football behind Alabama and Georgia, but Clemson hasn't beaten a single team that was a top 5 team, Alabama beat Georgia with Tua on 1 leg and dominated Oklahoma, Alabama has the far better resume.

I’ll give you that Bama is better because of their offense. But, then you have to say that Clemson is better. Bryant was awful. Similar to Hurts. Lawrence is 100x better. Both QBs this year are light years ahead of last years guys.

Lawrence is a better passer, but Bryant was dual threat and Clemson's secondary was better last year.

Clemson's best win was against a Notre Dame that that after the game against Clemson would be +16 against Alabama.
