That doesn't even warrant a response, but...
He dominated the league for 3 years before Banks even entered the league

    So much for that theory

So you post something ridiculous, that is not even factually possible, I point out that fact, and now it wasn't you that said it and I am the moron??

    Good one

Maybe you could post that some people think 2+2=7, and then when people correct you just say you didn't say it and make a juvenile insult towards them

Also, do you just post random non factual things that "some" people believe???
If you knew anything about football you would know that LT dominated the league for 3 years before Banks even entered the league, so the people saying that are factually incorrect

Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary are better than any LB's you guys have mentioned. Urlacker is no slouch either.

If LT isn’t on your list your list is garbage: undebatable, dude changed the league.

I love me some ray Lewis, could prob be debated but in his prime he was a beast!!

Singletary.. quarterback of one of greatest defenses ever.

Dick Butkus. Most of us prob didn’t get to watch him but those nfl films featuring him is just a highlight real of him blowing up offenses!!

    Derrick Thomas was amazing.

Junior Seau dominated in his time and might been one of 1st of a new breed of guys who could go sideline to sideline.

Should really be 2 separate list seeing how LT kinda changed the position and result was guys like Derrick Thomas etc. then you have your traditional middle linebackers which are totally different animals than your outside pass rushers.

Far as middle LBs go kuechly is a animal we get to watch right now.

It is LT and everyone else
He wasn't just a pass rusher
The modern outside LB's just sell out every play to rush the passer and have zero run or coverage responsibilities whatsoever
LT stuffed the run to his side, chased down the run to the opposite side, was the best pass coverage LB of all time AND the most feared pass rusher ALL IN ONE PLAYER
I have no doubt they could have asked him to play inside LB and he would have been the best but obviously that would have been insane

I guarantee you that Butkus was the most feared blitzing LB of all time. Taylor was great in his prime, but then became a druggie and got soft near the end of the line for him. Singletary was just as good as Butkus. Both of these players saw blood on every play. Taylor did not.

    I'd say it depends.

Some did things better than others.

He's not the best, but for example Hall Of Famer Derrick Brooks one of best coverage linebackers & all-around.

Brooks was amazing as was that whole Tampa defense, forgot about him. Sideline to sideline beast who allowed them to play that Tampa 2 shell cause he could drop so well and patrol so much of the field!!

Just looked out of curiosity & so far he's #5 , #8, and #11 on 3 different lists.

Tampa was the one defense the Rams struggled with then not only because of that Bucs D as a whole, but Brooks shadowed Marshall Faulk out of the backfield, and that was a big part of their offense.

Definitely an all around outside LB
Thomas and Miller were/are great pass rushers but did/do nothing else

LT literally forced Joe Gibbs to invent a new style of offense to block him that the Cardinals and Eagles tried as well to copy.

I cant think of 1 other player (maybe Randy Moss) that forced a league to change how the game was played....

The rest mentioned are all a notch lower and not distinguished by any particular accomplishments.... Lewis, Singletary, Thomas, D Brooks. All great

The Niners had a guy, Willis, he was a damn beast for 5 years then disappeared??

The award for best linebacker in the country for high school, college AND the NFL is called the Dick Butkus trophy for a reason. He is under appreciated because most of us weren’t alive to see him play. He set the prototype for LBs

LT is the second best to ever play the position and with Parcells pretty much revolutionized NFL defense into what we see today.

My third place would have to be Junior Seau. He had an instinct for where the ball was going like nobody else I’ve seen. He wasn’t the biggest or fastest but he was always in the right place to stop the play.
