US Soccer has become an elite sport. You have to have money to play it. Most inner city kids don't have the resources and US soccer don't care about them, so they keep trotting out players who are skilled but have ZERO athleticism. It's embarrassing to see the players on USA soccer and how awful they are as athletes. We could recruit enough talent down in the muck of S. Florida and bring those kids up in a few years to dominate the sport. But, no one gives a damn. We're all satisfied to have USA suck at soccer.
