I thought Tampa would win this series in 7 games going into it. Both these teams not giving up without a good fight.

these are the type of threads that make me wonder if you're a paid poster pushing games like JJGold does. This is a horrific idea. 1 even strength goal in two games. They cant penetrate the defense over the blue line, they just fire long distance shots. Tampa stinks. Compared to the Pens matchup, the Caps probably think this is a bye round. Caps have won the cup. Why not just stop with the weird antics and just make a thread taking that? Does SBR not want you to do that?

Washington made Tampa look small and soft in these first 2 games. I am not sure Tampa can match Washington's physicality. Not seeing the value in the series price.. but GM 3 Tampa absolutely.

Wash can always choke, who knows
But the sign of clutch NHL teams in my viewing experience is how they close out periods
Pit, Chicago, Kings, the old Red Wings teams -- they always closed out periods with goals.
Washington has been doing that consistently.
Maybe they are finally over their mental blocks
Wash has been one of the most talented teams in the league for years
Just never has had that ice water
I think they finally have it
They look like a team that can smell blood
Having said all that, Tampa is really good too. But this series will come down to whoever has that hunger. To me, Tampa players are looking pretty soft. It's not that they're not talented. They just look like the Washington teams of the last 5 years (before this year).

Tampa to win the cup +800 is solid
no one here even mentioned backstrom has likely a broken hand and most likely wont return for this series. that is huge going forward. if TB can win game 3 they can win this series. 1-2 no backstrom, 2 more games at home. best talent in the NHL
they would then smoke vegas/winnipeg
